Inevitabilities

One day, a young persian gardener came to his prince and said: "Please, my Prince, save me!". The prince asked what happened; the gardener replyed that he woke up that morning to see Death herself by his bed, and that she made a threatning gesture towards him. He asked a horse to flee to Ispahan, that very moment, so that by fall he could be there already. The prince lent him his own horse, and the gardener departed at once.
That evening, the Prince got to see Death himself. And he asked her why did she show the gardener a threatning gesture. And she answered: "It was not a gesture of agression, it was surprise, for I was to take him tonight in Ispahan, and by morning he was still here."
